The Fame was designed by Ron Rezek to mark a departure from pure modernism and explores a new style.The three downrod system and the 'nouveau' design give the Fame its unique appearance. The Fame is all die-cast and extruded aluminum and is offered in gloss white or gloss nickel. The white and nickel fans are shipped with color matching blades or maple or mahagony blades. As with all the design ceiling fan products, the Fame is powered by a high silicon steel motor incorporating 16 poles and using sealed bearings to insure long life and cool running. The fan speed and the light can be operated by any one of the included infrared remote control. The Fame has a new glass light. This light is a mouth blown opal glass which matches the shape of the metal body.
